Lets catch up!

Hey again it's been a while since my last post in October! I'm sorry for time between posts have been so long and also posts have been so few, so here's an explanation.

These past couple months have been pretty hectic with school. I just finished up my final prerequisites for Nursing programs, and that has kind of taken up most of my free time. Another thing is that I haven't really been inspired enough to go out and take pictures whenever I had the time. Photography as a hobby ended up getting shelved. I think this lack of excitement for the hobby can be seen throughout the year, especially on this blog since there was nearly a year gap between posts from 2024-2025.

There is hope though! I do want to get back into regular photography again, I want to try out more types of photography and practice more skills! Portraits was never a style of photography I like taking, so I want to practice that more. I also want to have a more regular posting schedule on this blog, and I will do my best to at least get a post once or twice a month. I will have the time in 2026 to actually do photography.

With that out of the way, I want to share some photos from my recent little birthday road trip. I just turned 25 on the 13th and a couple of my friends and I went on a road trip up to SLO County and explored. The pictures I have to share are from Morro Bay and Avila beach, where we spent most of our time. I hope you guys like the more personal rather that art focused images I took!

Lets start with Morro Bay! The whole reason we went was to "go see that damn rock". We did go see that rock and it was low tide too so we got to get out the tide pools around the rock.

The second stop of the trip was Avila Beach / Pismo Beach. On our way back home we went to a little Apple Orchard for my friend's last minute Christmas shopping and for dinner.

I hope you enjoyed these photos, have a Happy Holiday and Happy New Years!

There's Goo Everywhere

So it's been a while since I last uploaded anything onto this blog, but I feel like I should continue on with this thing that I started. I guess now's a good time as any to start up again. This week we went to a local punk show hosted by local band Goo Spot, along with a newer band Corporate America. Set up at a newer bar called Union in the middle of downtown Santa Barbara.  Here is a full library of what I shot The crowd was so energetic, all these kids amped up to hear the local favorites, or even new favorites, tear up the place with that fast and loud sound. Pits opened up, they were moshing, skanking, slam dancing, jumping off a barrel, It was a great time. The show was fun time, and talking to everyone and getting all these photos was an even better of a time. With the opening of Union in Santa Barbara, I hope that the grassroots music scene of Santa Barbara will continue to thrive.

Avo Fest Molcajete

Another Avo Fest in the books. This year was a lot of fun, the moment The Upbeat started playing the crowd lit up. The amount of crowd surfing was insane for a local avocado festival, but it's an Upbeat show so I shouldn't be surprised.  It was the 40th year of The Upbeat so this show was pretty special, and that's probably why the crowed was way more lively than last year. They played some classic songs from their discography like, "Farmah Man", "17 @ 17", "Sitting on Capital Hill", and my favorite "Olde Towne". If you've never listened to them before, you should definitely give them a listen, some of the best Ska you'll hear. Anyways, lets get to the photos. I was on the outskirts of the mosh pit at all times so I had to shelter my camera from getting bumped into for the entire show. This wasn't the biggest issue since I was using a cheap lens I like and a cheap flash. Nevertheless I was able to get 18 photos that I am h...

There's Goo Everywhere Again

We got another Goo Spot show! Held at the Carpinteria Skate Park, we had a full day of music, 5 bands played. Wren Hunt, Ding Mao, Beau James Wilding, Goo Spot, and Nardcore OG's Dr. Know ripped up the Carp Skate Park.  I do apologize for the lack in variety of photos I've captured though, with how wide my lens is, and the harsh backlighting, I found it pretty difficult to get some inspiring shots. But nonetheless, here's a full gallery of Goo Spot's set plus 2 shots from the Dr. Know set As always it's been a blast taking all these pictures, I hope I'll have some more pictures to share soon!
