Film Dump #3

So for today's film dump consists of 2 different cameras. My super awesome and trusty Nikon N80, and a camera I don't have anymore, the Nikkormat FT2. Both days were just phot walk days with my friend Jakob Hammer. Shot some "street" and some other variety stuff.

Fist off I'll show off the N80 pictures. I haven't used this camera in a while so I didn't expose some of the pictures properly, they are a bit under exposed but they do have a bit of a spooky look to them which I do really like.

And now here's some street and variety stuff from my first test run with the Nikkormat FT2. I bought it and a 24mm from an old Photographer. The camera was cool as hell and it was my first old gen Nikon SLR. I really enjoyed my time with it but it just ended up taking up space and collecting dust on my shelf. So I ended up loaning it to a friend who wanted to get into film photography. But never the less, here's the pictures I got

There's Goo Everywhere

So it's been a while since I last uploaded anything onto this blog, but I feel like I should continue on with this thing that I started. I guess now's a good time as any to start up again. This week we went to a local punk show hosted by local band Goo Spot, along with a newer band Corporate America. Set up at a newer bar called Union in the middle of downtown Santa Barbara.  Here is a full library of what I shot The crowd was so energetic, all these kids amped up to hear the local favorites, or even new favorites, tear up the place with that fast and loud sound. Pits opened up, they were moshing, skanking, slam dancing, jumping off a barrel, It was a great time. The show was fun time, and talking to everyone and getting all these photos was an even better of a time. With the opening of Union in Santa Barbara, I hope that the grassroots music scene of Santa Barbara will continue to thrive.

Avo Fest Molcajete

Another Avo Fest in the books. This year was a lot of fun, the moment The Upbeat started playing the crowd lit up. The amount of crowd surfing was insane for a local avocado festival, but it's an Upbeat show so I shouldn't be surprised.  It was the 40th year of The Upbeat so this show was pretty special, and that's probably why the crowed was way more lively than last year. They played some classic songs from their discography like, "Farmah Man", "17 @ 17", "Sitting on Capital Hill", and my favorite "Olde Towne". If you've never listened to them before, you should definitely give them a listen, some of the best Ska you'll hear. Anyways, lets get to the photos. I was on the outskirts of the mosh pit at all times so I had to shelter my camera from getting bumped into for the entire show. This wasn't the biggest issue since I was using a cheap lens I like and a cheap flash. Nevertheless I was able to get 18 photos that I am h...

There's Goo Everywhere Again

We got another Goo Spot show! Held at the Carpinteria Skate Park, we had a full day of music, 5 bands played. Wren Hunt, Ding Mao, Beau James Wilding, Goo Spot, and Nardcore OG's Dr. Know ripped up the Carp Skate Park.  I do apologize for the lack in variety of photos I've captured though, with how wide my lens is, and the harsh backlighting, I found it pretty difficult to get some inspiring shots. But nonetheless, here's a full gallery of Goo Spot's set plus 2 shots from the Dr. Know set As always it's been a blast taking all these pictures, I hope I'll have some more pictures to share soon!
